Shieff Angland
Moving into a bright future
With a strong pedigree in Auckland stretching back over 75 years, Commercial, Property and Litigation lawyers Shieff Angland saw a great opportunity to use their move to the Lumley building in Shortland Street to enhance their already strong family culture. A fresh new approach to their legal environment meant a move to a more open and flexible style of work that feels relaxed yet professional and contemporary yet timeless. Client areas maximise the stunning views over the Waitemata Harbour, while ensuring a range of formal client spaces are complemented by a variety of alternative meeting, working and social zones.
Key to the success of the project was the clear communication and strong collaborative intent between STACK’s talented designers and the client team. This ensured that the personalities, culture and aspirations of Shieff Angland’s people were infused into the design solution. Professionalism, honesty, integrity, quality and longevity are Shieff’s core values and promise to their clients. These were reflected through the materiality of natural grey tundra stone at the reception through to the warm welcoming open plan areas, meeting rooms and the shared staff/client café lounge. Throughout the space the idea of “people first” resonates clearly.
The result is a deeply professional and stylish image that reflects the firms brand and provides a sophisticated and enjoyable workplace for both clients and staff alike.
