Highly connected, agile and intuitive neighbourhoods
The brief for Tower’s new workplace was to design a ‘High Energy Digital Workspace’ by creating agile and intuitive ‘neighbourhoods’ which were highly connected not just internally, but to Tower's wider network nationally and across the Pacific, through an advanced technology offering.
The new workplace extends across an entire level, connected by two footbridges spanning a central atrium. An upgrade from a relatively disjointed interior, the move to a larger single level floorplate enabled Tower to better connect departments previously siloed across several floors. The strategy shifted their workstyle over to a fully agile desk sharing approach.
Space utilisation considerations included the decision to centralise staff social spaces and incorporating free standing meeting rooms and pods. STACK selected furniture that was dual purpose, for dining and socialising, but also for drop-in mobile working and team collaboration. Strong use of Tower’s blue and yellow is a key feature of the design.
