Creating a vibrant and fun workplace

Toyota Finance, located across two levels at 602 Great South Road in Tāmaki Makaurau, re-engaged STACK Interiors to expand their workplace, which had previously been designed by STACK in 2014. Building on the success of the original fitout, Toyota Finance sought to adapt it to meet their evolving business.

In response to Toyota Finance’s request to accommodate a new shared finance facility for various brands, including Mazda Finance and Power Alliance Finance, STACK embarked on a second iteration of design. The primary objective was to retain the current space and fitout while refreshing its look and feel. STACK reviewed the space utilisation, identifying opportunities for greater efficiencies, and proposed strategic reconfigurations to optimise the environment.

The resulting workplace design seamlessly aligns with Toyota Finance’s brand identity, characterised by bold lines, simple colour choices, and strong shapes. The additional office space includes a modern, open plan layout throughout, and flexible spaces and interconnected meeting areas facilitate seamless communication and teamwork.

To further enhance connectivity, an interconnecting staircase was retained to encourage fluid movement between levels. Additionally, the industrial-themed café was also retained to continue serving as a hub for the team. The result is a refreshed office that harmoniously combines Toyota Finance’s proud heritage with a contemporary and stimulating work environment.
