Situated in the new 6 Star Green Star rated 50 Albert Street, UDC's workplace represents a significant shift from their previous location. The finance company’s former tenancy was spread across two floors, which constrained operations, hindered workplace culture and failed to support modern work styles.

The design of the new workspace focuses on enhancing connectivity and reflecting UDC's strong brand, celebrating New Zealand’s rich heritage and innovative spirit. It embraces a desk-sharing model with neighbourhood zones and incorporates a 'town hall' front-of-house social area, which facilitates events and client engagement.

The workspace includes a blend of open, flexible areas and enclosed meeting spaces, accommodating both individual and collaborative work styles. Drawing inspiration from the unique landscapes of Aotearoa, the environment fosters a warm community feel. The use of vernacular agricultural materials underscores UDC's commitment to innovation and resourcefulness, creating a welcoming home base for their diverse team.
